Youtube has done away with the old embed code that our eEdge websites need in order to embed video. Did you know that you can create your own old embed code simply by understanding a couple of simple steps? Here’s how:
Step 1: Determine your Video ID on Youtube.com. For this example, let’s use The Keller Williams Story: Our History
This video is located at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQ9GRMZHTyE&list=PLE0855FDC13678BEF&index=3
Look at the youtube link above. See that 11 digit string after the letter “v” and the “=” sign? That’s the video ID. In this case it is bQ9GRMZHTyE
Step 2: Copy the code shown below and paste on to the appropriate page in the back office of your eEdge site. Be sure you’re in the HTML mode.

Step 3: Replace the X’s in the code above with your 11 digit video. It will now look like this:

Viola! You’ve created your own OLD embed code! This will work with any YouTube video you choose.
